Jan Pretorius

Jan gained experience as a Senior Estate Controller at the Master of the High Court in Bloemfontein and later opened his practice, specializing in the administration of insolvent, deceased and curatorship estates, as well as in the structuring of Wills and Trusts. Jan is a renowned Fiduciary expert, boasting more than 40 years of experience and has administered to more than 2000 estates.
Meyer De Waal

Meyer was admitted as an attorney, conveyancer and notary public in 1988. He worked as a Senior Estate Controller at the Masters Office before opening his own firm in 1993. Meyer manages a large team of attorneys. He is a founding member of the Western Cape Law Society Wills, Estates and Trusts Committee, has lectured at UCT and presented national workshops as a conveyancing and estate expert.

Eddie is an actuary and CFP® with 24 years of experience specialising in the deceased estate & divorce (maintenance, accrual and Living Annuity valuations) and medical negligence arenas. His firm, 33 Actuarial and Advisory, also calculate claims in road accident and other personal injury matters. What is different about his firm, is that they also offer wealth management services, with a focus on investment advice to the affected parties. We are most passionate about and add most value to the non-breadwinner post-divorce or loss of a partner, as well as to incapacitated individuals (trust or curator bonis). We can therefore support the client throughout the entire process, from the actuarial calculation to the investment of the settlement thereafter.
